Recycle City connecting to the next generation, Minamisoma

The major theme of this project is to create a countermeasure towards the changes in population composition, radioactive damage from the disaster, and the decrease in agricultural workers. The key is “circulation” and aims for three kinds of “cycling”: energy recycling by shifting to smart-grid based energy consumption and large implementation of a recycling energy system, generation cycling by making the use of special features of apartment complexes and achieving co-housing of several generations in the same community regarding the collective relocation of the disaster-affected area, and regional industry cycling with independent processing/distribution routes centered on the primary industry.
